2,790 Besigye Agents Defect

Moroto – A total of 2,790 agents of presidential candidate Col. Kizza Besigye in the Karamoja region last Thursday defected to President Yoweri Museveni's camp. The team, led by the assistant Chief Admin-istrative Officer, Mr. Luke Abong, surrendered their campaign materials and copies of Besigye's manifesto to Museveni's team. Abong, in a speech he made during Museveni's tour to the region said Besigye had no clear political direction. Ends
