'Besigye Gave UPDF Logistics'

By Emmanuel Mulondo Presidential candidate Col. Kizza Besigye was part of Uganda's plan for the military expeditions in the DR Congo, Hoima Resident District Commissioner Simon Mulongo has said. He was inaugurating 'Victory for Sure 2001,' a volunteer group campaigning for President Yoweri Museveni in Kabarole district. Mulongo said Besigye also planned the logistics for the expeditions. "Let Besigye not lie to you, he was part of the plan to go to Congo. He planned the logistics for Congo," Mulongo said. Besigye has since the beginning of the presidential campaigns which end with polls on March 7, been critical of Uganda Peoples Defence Forces' presence in the Congo. Ends
