THE re-elect Museveni national task force (NTF) has strongly disassociated itself from a highly libelous pamphlet, which is carrying an article vilifying Kabaka Ronald Mutebi of Buganda and Archbishop Cardinal Wamala, reports John Kakande. The task force in a statement issued yesterday by the secretary, Moses Byaruhanga, urged Museveni's supporters to immediately report to the Police "anybody distributing the pamphlet or attributing it to our candidate (Museveni)." The statement said, "The NTF for Candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni informs the public that there is an anonymous leaflet being distributed by opponents of our candidate and it has been read in some churches." "The said leaflet, which is being attributed to government and our candidate, blemishes His Highness the Kabaka of Buganda and His Eminence Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala," it said. "The NTF strongly disassociates itself and candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni from this leaflet. Those who are distributing it are agents of Satan and enemies of the Movement who want to tarnish and damage the existing excellent relationship between the Movement, candidate Yoweri Museveni with His Highness the Kabaka of Buganda, His Eminence Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala, the people of Buganda and the Catholic Church," it added. "We therefore denounce this leaflet and call upon all our supporters to shun and ignore it, as it is the work of people we are going to defeat come March 12," the statement said. The Catholic Church had earlier issued a strongly-worded statement denouncing the pamphlet, 'Coalition for Peace News Bulletin.' Ends
