KAMPALA - The Danish government has given Uganda a grant of sh6.2b to support children with disabilities through the Uganda National Institute of Special Education (UNISE).

KAMPALA - The Danish government has given Uganda a grant of sh6.2b to support children with disabilities through the Uganda National Institute of Special Education (UNISE). The grant will also be used to support the Special Needs Education/Educational Asse-ssment and Resource Services (SNE/EARS) Programme. The Danish ambassador, Flemming Bjork Pedersen, yesterday signed the grant agreement on behalf of the Danish government. The Permanent Secretary of the ministry of finance and acting Secretary to the Treasury, Chris Kassami, signed on behalf of Uganda. Kassami said the two-and-a-half years grant, will also focus on the increased number of children with special educational needs receiving equitable and quality education. Ends
