Police Shoot Man In Battle

MASAKA - The police on Thursday shot and seriously injured a man in the abdomen during a battle with an angry mob that had attacked Kyamuliibwa police post demanding for a murder suspect. Twaha Kabali, 27, one of the attackers was hit by a stray bullet as the Police tried to scare away a group of villagers who surrounded the Police Post. Anti-riot Police personnel from Masaka town were rushed to the site to reinforce their colleagues as the fight intensified. Ends
