Mbale Sub-County Banishes Nineteen

NINETEEN suspected thieves in Namanyonyi sub-county in Mbale district, were banished from the sub-county during a general meeting held recently, reports Isaac Wanyera. The LC3 chairman, Kamadi Walusansa, who chaired the meeting, said after identifying the suspects, the residents wanted them to leave the area immediately, but he pleaded with them to give them seven days. He said some of those expelled were children identified by their parents while in some cases both parents and their children were banished. Walusansa said those banished were from the villages of Kanikwa, Kasanvu Budi A, Budi B, Kilulu, Nansu and Gangama. The chairman said the meeting was attended by the area LC5 councillor,Issa Sebakaki. Ends
