The beach volleyball season gets underway at Lido beach this weekend.

The one-day tourney is organised by the national beach volleyball council in conjunction with Entebbe's Lido Beach. National Beach Volleyball Council chairman Mofaht Masaba said a tough contest is expected in the event that will be used to rank Uganda's players. Hannington Nsubuga, Tony Lakony, Christine Okot and Alice Gitta are beach volleyball's stars. ends.
