Harlequins to give Uganda an early test

UGANDA will open their title defence in the KFRU Sevens championship against local club Kenya Harlequins tomorrow at the RFUEA grounds in Nairobi.

By Reuben Olita in Nairobi UGANDA will open their title defence in the KFRU Sevens championship against local club Kenya Harlequins tomorrow at the RFUEA grounds in Nairobi. According to the draw released yesterday, a total of 24 matches will be played on Saturday to complete the preliminary round matches. Quarterfinals, semi finals and finals will be played on Sunday. After taking on Quins at 10.40a.m Uganda will return to the same venue at 1.20p.m to tackle Kenya Commercial Bank before winding up their preliminaries with a match against United States International University (USIU). Uganda, Kenya, Impala RC and Mean Machine were seeded in their respective groups with the champions meeting the runners up in group "D" that includes Nakuru, Machine, Mwamba and Impala II. Impala I will open the day's programme at 10.00 a.m. when they face Kisumu while the last match is between Nakuru and Machine. Ends
