Catechist gets blows for admitting adultery

By Martin Ekanya There was drama in a church in Lira when a preacher confessed before the congregation that he had committed adultery with the wife of one of his parishoners. The catechist stunned his flock when he asked to be excused for committing adultery. His testimony brought dead silence in the church. The congregation that was eagerly waiting for the sermon was amazed when he further revealed having been responsible for yet another couple's divorce. The husband of the second woman rose and pounced on the catechist and the fellowshipdid not take place as a result. The matter was handled by the church privately. This should teach people to be realistic and realise that we are still here on earth. Why not confess to God who will listen more patiently? ends
