New weed

KUMI - A new type of weed different from the water hyacinth has been detected in Lake Bisina in the districts of Kumi and Katakwi. Sources say the weed has affected economic activities especially the fishing industry. The director of the Fisheries Resources Research Institute, Dr. Timothy Twongo, confirmed its presence. Ends
