Eddie Ssejjoba in Rakai Retired bishop of Mityana Yokaana Mukasa has appealed to the youth in rural areas to avoid overdepending on their parents' wealth as a means of survival. He urged the youth to cherish agriculture and get fully involved as a means of fighting poverty. The bishop said this on Thursday after commissioning 45 pioneer students of Kakoma Integrated Organic Agriculture Centre in Lwanda sub-county in Rakai district. Mukasa who is also chairman, Board of Governors of the African Evangelical Enterprises (AEE) that founded the school, told the youth not to avoid agriculture as a dirty job. He told them to get involved in it as one of the channels of fighting poverty. He said God too does not want poor people who beg endlessly without any hope when they have the means to change this. He said many youth waste a lot of time doing nothing instead of involving themselves in income generating activities. The school Principal A. Kyambadde, said the Centre admits P.7 and S.4 leavers and gives priority to orphans and disadvantaged children. Ends
