Kabale records 500 child abuse cases

ABOUT 500 cases of child abuse and neglect have been recorded at the Kabale probation office, reports Vision Reporter. The probation officer, Deus Byamukama, told The New Vision on Friday that the cases have been recorded since January. He said at least 20 men had been arrested and charged with child abuse and neglectof their families. Byamukama said 20 abandoned childrens have been adopted by the district foster homes. “Most of the women complain that men do not care about their children and have sold off their property especially land and moved to towns in search for better paying jobs,” he said.
