Kagimu Petitions Court

THE loser in the Bukomansimbi parliamentary seat in Masaka, Morris Kagimu Kiwanuka, has filed a petition in the High Court challenging the qualification of the incumbent MP Hajji Idi Lubyayi, reports Eddie Sejjoba. The petition filed on Monday, states that Lubyayi does not have A’ level or its equivalent as required by law. The petition also says that Lubyayi’s diploma certificate in accounts obtained from the International Correspondence School in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1978 is forged since it is not recorded anywhere in Kenya. “Your petitioner has established that the said certificate upon which the respondent based his candidature was not given to him by the aforesaid schools,” he said.
