By John Nzinjah THE Catholic church leader in Kasese, the Rt. Rev. Egidion Nkaijanabwo, has said the greatest task ahead of the people in the district is to resolve the controversial Rwenzururu kingdom issue. “There is a big task ahead of us the people of Kasese. We should find peaceful means to resolve the issue of the Rwenzururu in order to live in peace and harmony,” Nkaijanabwo said. He was recently opening a five-day workshop to train trainers in conflict management, transformation and peaceful resolution of conflicts, at Kasese Catholic Social Development hall. He also cited wrangles over land and school ownership as other conflicts in the district which were dividing the people. He called for an end to conflict. The bishop said the ADF rebels wrote to him some time back, apologising for the atrocities they had committed against the people. “I wrote back inviting them for round table talks but up to now, they have never given me a reply,” Nkaijanabwo said. He wondered whether the letter he had received was truly from the ADF. Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala is the head of the Catholic church in the country.
