By Jonathan Angura SIX people including two Kenyans were arrested at Suam border post in Kapchorwa district, with over 20 kilos of marijuana and one bag of green maize. They were smuggling the items into Kenya. They were netted during a swoop carried out by the UPDF, the Police and the Revenue Protection Services (RPS) personnel along the Kenya - Uganda border on Saturday. The Kapchorwa deputy resident district commissioner, Mr. Michael Bwalatum, confirmed the arrests and identified the two Kenyans, who were found with the bag of maize as Alphonse Baraza and Samson. Bwalatum said the two claimed they were going for a funeral at 2.00a.m. when the swoop started. They were handed over to the Kenyan authorities at Suam Police post on Monday. The four suspects caught smuggling marijuana, included a woman identified as Chelat. They were held at Bukwa Police post.
