THE Government has promised to boost cultural sites to help alleviate poverty and support the conservation of natural resources.
This was revealed recently by the state minister for tourism, Jovino Akaki (pictured above).
He said the government recognises the need to diversify tourism to help alleviate poverty and conserve natural resources, which are the core of Uganda’s tourism.
Six cultural sites in Buganda have been identified for funding.
These include the Ssezibwa falls, Wamala tombs and Nnagalabi coronation ground in Buddo.
Akaki said tourism has been based on the country’s natural attractions.
