Thugs rob, torture RDC Kasibante

By K. Muhanga ABOUT eight armed thugs on Sunday raided the home of the Rakai Resident District Commissioner in Kaberebere village in Mbarara and looted the house clean. The Police said Dauda Kasibante was put under gunpoint, beaten and kicked several times on the back and in the chest. “What you see me here with is what I am left with. Everything has been taken,” he said. He said the thugs came in a long truck and entered the house at around 8:45pm and put every one in the house at gunpoint. “We had just finished our Idd-el-Fitr party. I was in a towel ready to take a shower only to be put at gunpoint,” Kasibante said. He said the thugs subjected him to various modes of torture as they demanded for money.
