SIR— I am writing this simple letter for the attention of the IGG. I have decided to do this both offices can have humane sympathy and solve my problem once for all in the hope that I am known in the IGG records of the headquarters under Ref: No C144.

SIR— I am writing this simple letter for the attention of the IGG. I have decided to do this both offices can have humane sympathy and solve my problem once for all in the hope that I am known in the IGG records of the headquarters under Ref: No C144. Two replies were received dated July 7, 1998 and August 14, 1998 respectively, informing me that inquiries had already started and results would be communicated to me in the shortest possible time. It is now over three solid years and I have not heard a thing! When the regional office was established in Mbale, I registered a reminder which appears in their records as well under Ref: MBL20/11/99. I faxed to the IGG on June 16, 2000 receipt MR280225. Again on May 24, 2001 I got receipt MR572125 on the same same subject. All my supporting documents were submitted and re-submitted to the regional office. If I may ask, what major obstacle is standing in my way since July 1998? No second reply of any latest development to date. As I write, my children have missed this year’s 2001 O-level examination! All my 35 years in the Mbale district service have come to nought. I have visited regional offices over 15 times to no avail. Biritius Mayuya Wakowu Pensioner, Sironko District
