By Odwong Wod Ayo THE Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) has killed Joseph Kony's LRA rebel commander responsible for the October 9 disco bomb attack on Opit Travellers Inn in Gulu. Lapwony Kidega of Giwa unit was killed on Sunday in Keyo, Lamogi sub-county, Kilak county, eight miles west of Gulu town on the Gulu-Nimule road. Security sources said Kidega hurled the grenade that killed 10 people and wounded 48 others in the disco hall. The acting 4th Division Public Relations Officer, Lt. Geoffrey Kakoma, confirmed the death of the LRA commander. He said three other rebels were captured and were now helping the UPDF with investigations. Kakoma told journalists that one gun with thirty bullets was recovered.
