By Eva Nabagesera Internet café has been sued by Universal Trade Management Ltd. (UTML) for breach of contract. UTML is seeking to recover US$699.688 (over Sh1m) as unpaid dues. It is also demanding charges for late payment for services provided to the café. A civil suit filed on November 8 says Cyberspace placed an order with UTML on January 28 for creative designs and digital print advertisement materials worth US$764.25 (about sh1,337,438) for which they were bound, by contract, to pay 50% in advance. UTML claim that Cyberspace paid only 40% of the contract price which slowed them down and made them take longer to fulfil their part of the contract. They also claim Cyberspace gave them two cheques which were dishonoured. But Lenina Mbabazi the café general manager denied the allegations. She said the cafe did not fail to fulfil the contract. She said UTML delivered the order 119 days after the agreed date. Ends.
