By Vision Reporter THE three-year Meridian project between German Football Association (DFB) and FUFA is worth sh925m in technical and equipment assistance. DFB has earmarked to spend US$500,000 in technical advice and material equipment in the three-year project. DFB executive officer Hermann Selbherr who left Uganda yesterday after signing the deal at Nakivubo stadium, Saturday, was however upset with FUFA officials. Germany Embassy deputy head of mission, Karin Stoll organised a buffet dinner in honour of Selbherr at her residence in Kololo, Friday. All stakeholders in Ugandan football were present apart from FUFA officials Denis Obua, Wilson Tumwine, Polly Ouma and secretary Godfrey Kisekka. "It is amazing just how fast I have learnt all about FUFA and football administration in Uganda," the German expert said. FUFA administrative officer Vincent Kissa said: "FUFA was busy with CECAFA congress." Meridian project assistance to Uganda is starting a year late due to poor response from FUFA. Uganda football technical director Guenter Zittel, who arrived here in March, will coordinate the project. Ends.
