UGANDA Lions yesterday beat troubled Harambee Stars of Kenya in the last Group B game of the regional competition.

By Joseph Wanzusi Kenya 0 Uganda Lions 2 UGANDA Lions yesterday beat troubled Harambee Stars of Kenya in the last Group B game of the regional competition. Lions completed the group unbeaten to qualify for the semi finals along with champions Rwanda. Lions went into the lead after an own goal by Stars' veteran defender Sammy Omollo who turned villain in the 18th minute in a desperate bid to block George Otika's aerial cross ball. Ahmed Kizza sealed Kenya's fate with the second goal in the 30th minute. Earlier, Stars' captain Eric Omondi looked on helplessly when his penalty was blocked by Lions' goalkeeper Hannington Kalyesubula. Kenyan coach James Siang'a made three substitutions in the second half but this could not change the tide of the game.
