By Nicholas Kajoba PRESIDENTIAL aspirant Aggrey Awori has urged Ugandans not to vote for Col. (Rtd) Kiiza Besigye, saying President Yoweri Museveni and Besigye are the same. "Besigye is the same as Museveni because they are all in the Movement and we need to remove Movementists from power. So you cannot vote for such people," he said. Awori was on Sunday holding a consultative meeting at Lugazi West primary school in Mukono district. Flanked by his district co-ordinator, Mr. Ochara Bitek, Awori said Museveni had been telling the people that he (Museveni) wanted to professionalise the army which he failed to do in the last 15 years. "Museveni has failed to make the army professional for the last 15 years yet he wants more five years. We cannot allow this to happen and we need a peaceful change," Awori said. He said that multipartyists were free to support any presidential candidate. Awori promised to change unpopular clauses in the Constitution enacted by the Government if he is elected president. He also said Members of Parliament supporting the Movement would be decampaigned in the coming parliamentary polls if his presidential bid succeeds. "Give me your votes, I will change the bad clauses that were put in the Constitution by the Movement," he told his supporters. Awori, answering a question from one of his supporters about the whereabouts of his chopper said, "I was going some where else, I did not come with my chopper." Ends
