Police quel Bombo fight

BOMBO - Riot Police were yesterday deployed at Bombo mosque after fighting broke out between two rival groups over the control of the mosque. The afternoon clashes were a continuation of the Idi El Fitr brawl in which one faction, led by Hussein Mansoor the newly-elected chairman, clashed with a group led by Ahmed Taib. Yesterday's scuffle erupted after members of Taib's group handcuffed Mansoor Hussein as soon as he stood up to greet the worshippers. The Police who had earlier been tipped off intervened. Ends.
