Job Summary: The Manufacturing Supervisor will own the production floor and get results by establishing daily production targets, improving the manufacturing process, and ensuring we meet our exacting quality standards. It is a big job for a fast growing firm with big goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure they are understood and followed by production staff
· Plan production & shipping schedules and set production targets
· Preparing reports to monitor materials usage and efficiency
· Oversee Product Line Leaders and team of 40 production staff
· Revising SOP's to increase quality, reduce labor hours and lead time, and minimize waste
· Create quality controls to address common issues and verifying that controls are followed
· Estimate costs for new product lines
· Determine labor needs each season and for new product lines
· Set material reorder points each season based on forecasted demand
· Calculate materials needs for daily production schedule
· Minimize machinery downtime through maintenance and training
· Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed
· Communicate with US COO regarding production timeline and estimated ship dates
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· The ideal candidate must hold a Degree in Industrial Systems Engineering or relevant course
· Five years of experience in a high volume manufacturing setting
· Three years of experience directly supervising productions staff
· Experience creating production systems and completing time studies
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel
· Fluency in English (both oral and written)
