FOUR men suspected to have robbed a number of cars and murdered the owners were on Wednesday committed to the High Court.

The four were committed by Buganda Road Court Grade One Magistrate, Dawa Francis Matenga. They were Robert Sempebwa, alias Kazahura, Chares Yiga, Bob Kibirango, and Ronald Asiimwe.

They were charged and remanded on November 1 last year.

They will be tried on three counts of murder and three of aggravated robbery.

When presenting the committal papers, the court’s resident state attorney, David Bakibinga, said the accused should be “found guilty as indicted”.

It is alleged that on July 14 last year at Buwama in Mpigi district, the accused murdered Azalia Kafuluma, and robbed him of a Toyota Ipsum car.

It is also alleged that on August 7 last year, the group murdered Raymond Nkata at Nakigalala in Wakiso, and took his car.

The four are further said to have murdered Jean Claude Ndeize on September 11 last year, at Millenium Hotel in Kampala. They also took his car.

The accused were jointly charged with Mohammad Sekatawa, 29, and Ramadhan Kakooza, 30, who are accused of being accessories to the crime.
