Nearly one year after the July 11 2010 twin bomb blasts at Kyadondo Rugby Club along Jinja Road and at the Ethiopian village in Kabalagala, the wounds are still fresh.
Families, survivors are still searching for answers as they try to understand the fate that befell their loved ones.
For Mrs. Sembatya life will never be the same. “I lost two of my children- Brian and Brenda were the life of my house, why did this happen to us?†she asked amid sobs.
In the spirit of commiserating with the families; in the spirit of commemorating over 70 innocent lives that perished in the twin bomb blast on Sunday July 11, The New Vision is starting a serialized commemorative issue to remember the victims of the grisly July 11 events.
The series will comprise accounts of bereaved families and how they are trying to come to terms with their loss, memories of a very close brush with death by survivors and how the events of that night have changed their lives.
The series start today and will continue well until July 11.
