Arthur Kyobe hit an unbeaten 45 runs as Uganda warmed up for the Africa Twenty20 Division 1 tournament with an eight wicket win over Kenya at Entebbe cricket oval on Thursday.

Tight bowling from Daniel Ruyange (2 wickets for 11 runs) and Frank Nsubuga (2 wickets for 12 runs) had seen the Kenyans all out at 81 with one ball to go.

Kyobe then stepped up his game and played it safe despite his opening partner Abdullah Lubega only putting on 2 runs, while hard hitter Lawrence Ssematimba was out for a duck.

He kept on the crease, hitting big six and five boundaries and with the boost from Benjamin Musoke, who was also unbeaten at 27 runs, Uganda went passed the target in 16.5 overs.
