Dear Doctor,
TO begin with, leukaemia is a form of cancer in which there is high production of poorly functioning white blood cells. Treatment of a child with leukaemia must involve the parents, a nursing team, social worker, a paediatric-oncologist to dispense the chemotherapy doses for the patient and a psychologist to give therapy to the patient since leukaemia patients get recurring pains.

Such care is called holistic care. It fosters maximum care for both the social and medical interventions of a leukaemia patient.
