The federation has staked sh9m in prize money in order to make the 5th regional championships more competitive. The event is due in Tororo August 2-7.

The federation has staked sh9m in prize money in order to make the 5th regional championships more competitive. The event is due in Tororo August 2-7.

The draws of the event was conducted at the federation headquarters in Bulange, Mengo on Wednesday with Group A having hosts Eastern, Northern and Western Region. Group B has Kampala, West Nile and Buganda.

The winner is set to walk away with sh4m, with the second, third and fourth getting sh2.5m, sh1.5m and sh1m respectively.

The federation will also host the U-15 age group national competitions at Jinja College, with Jinja Seminary, Kakindu and Spire Road co-hosting the event that will attract 32 schools from across the country.

The tournament is set to search for earlier talent that have risen from the primary schools, as this one is meant for basically senior One and senior two students and will start August 13.
