The High Court sitting in Kiboga has sentenced three men to 30 years in prison each for murder and robbery. The trio are Mike Mabusa, 20, Batista Katayi, 38, and Sam Hangamaiso, 35, all from Dwaniro sub-county on January 31, 2009. They broke into the home of John and Jovia Kasagama, killed Jovia and stole soap and sugar.

Three construction companies in Lwengo district have been blacklisted by George Mutabaazi, the district chairperson, for allegedly doing shoddy work. Mutabaazi said Victoria Construction Company, Nalongo Wabukeera and Kika Construction Company in Lwengo.
