The New Vision and Bukedde websites will be fully re-designed and their capablities enhanced from October 3, 2011.

Uganda’s leading website www.newvision.co.ug and its sister site www.bukedde.co.ug will not only be redesigned, but will evolve into the country’s key first port for Breaking News on Uganda. The website will move away from being just a digital copy of the newspaper, with that audience now being catered for mainly by an E-Paper.

Content on the new sites will remain largely free, with access to the newspaper online, archives and E-Paper done through registration and subscription. The subscription rates and payment methods will be announced soon.

Other than having “Today’s News”, the new website will have audio, video and infographics extras with the main stories. Social media will be integrated into the system.

The new sites will also offer advertisers more modern ways of reaching clients, including animated solutions. Mobile, iPad and android tablet editions will be launched shortly after the website.

Vision Group is working with a leading Indian IT solutions company, Four C Plus (Internet) Company Limited.
