1. The National Curriculum Development Centre has received funds from the Ministry of Education and Sports to be used for the pre-qualification of Publishers to Supply and deliver P.5 - P.7 Text Books, Reading Materials and Charts for the reviewed Curriculum.

2. The National Curriculum Development Centre now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the prequalification
of Publishers to Supply and deliver of P.5 - P.7 Text Books, Reading Materials and Charts.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open international bidding procedures contained in
the Government of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from National Curriculum Development Centre and inspect the pre-qualification documents at the address given below in No.7(a) from 8:30am-5:00pm, except holidays and weekends.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given below in
No.7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ug.Shs. 300,000/= (three hundred thousand shillings only) or US$110. The method of payment will be cash to the NCDC cashier in Room 28 or
through EFT to account number: 0140015088101 and the account title is NCDC ROYALTY, Kyambogo branch (bidders should submit a copy of EFT together with its bid as proof of payment) Bidders unable to pick the bidding document
should pay US$100 for courier services. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery. There will be a compulsory pre-bid meeting on 4th January, 2012 and bidders who will not attend their bids will be rejected.

6. Pre-qualification submissions must be delivered to the address given below in No.7(c) at or before 3:10pm
on 1st May, 2012. Clearly marked Pre-qualification of publishers to supply and deliver P.5 – P.7 curriculum materials. Late bids shall be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address given below in No.7(d) at the NCDC Conference Room.
