CAPE TOWN — The current state of relations between South Africa and Rwanda is unsustainable and needs to be addressed, a senior South African official said on Wednesday.
Bulelwa Kiva, acting chief director for East Africa at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, made the remarks during an online briefing to the Parliament's Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation.
Kiva said current efforts to resume the normalisation process have been hampered by the schedules of senior representatives from both sides, but discussions remain ongoing.
