Dear Candidates,
Exam season is an important, yet stressful time of the year for pupils. We know the key to doing well is to study hard right from the day you start school, but many of us are not very good at it.
At this time when you are remaining with a few days to sit Primary Leaving Examinations, you need an effective study plan that will work for you.
Every day, we shall be bringing you study tips to help you pass your exams with flying colours.
TIP 1: The teachers will provide you with the timetable for PLE; study it properly and make your own timetable with short and frequent reading sessions. Look at it every morning to remind yourself what you will be revising.
TIP 2: Do not give attention to people who divert you from reading saying they know what is coming in the examinations. Many times, learners become devastated because they listened to rumours like these. Truth is, nobody can tell what will be in the exam. PLE papers are designed to be unpredictable.
TIP 3: Try teaching someone. “Content shared is content mastered.” One of the best ways to test yourself is to teach someone else. Explain to them your reasoning for answering a question in a certain way. Pupils who teach what they have learned remember it more easily than those who simply re-read their study notes.
In addition, teaching a topic to someone else will help you discover gaps in your knowledge, which allows you to go over the areas that you have not mastered before sitting the exam.
