Nnabagereka hails Vision Group over 'Ekitiibwa Kya Buganda' singing competition

The Nnabagereka, Sylvia Nagginda, has expressed appreciation for the  support from the people of Buganda and Uganda at large during the Ekitiibwa kya Buganda singing competition.

She congratulated the 60 individuals who met the jury's standards and earned the chance to showcase their talent at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in the UK.

The queen also extended her gratitude to the European choirs worldwide that took part in the initial phase of the EKitiibwa kya Buganda, acknowledging their efforts in raising awareness.

She also thanked Vision Group, as well as other companies and individuals for their support in successfully launching and sustaining the Ekitiibwa kya Buganda singing project.

Furthermore, the Nnabagereka commended the collaboration between Vision Group and Daniel Ssewagudde and Denis Mugagga of the Ganda Boys, emphasising their pivotal role in promoting Buganda's culture and heritage.

She highlighted the song's focus on the Buganda values of humanity and urged people to embrace and embody these principles.

 The Nnabagereka encouraged parents and communities to emulate these values, emphasising their importance in shaping the unique identity of Baganda and Ugandans.

She also expressed her gratitude to the British High Commissioner to Uganda, the British Royal Family, and the European Union for their substantial contributions to the program.

The competition, which commenced on June 28, 2023 with the participation of thousands of individuals, concluded with the selection of 60 confirmed choirs.

The Ganda Boys further confirmed that the chosen nominees will represent all the talented singers who will be recording at the Abby Studio in London, UK.
