Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Hungary on Thursday, the Hungarian defence minister said, in defiance of the International Criminal Court (ICC)'s arrest warrant against him over alleged war crimes in Gaza.
"Welcome to Budapest, Benjamin Netanyahu!" wrote Kristof Szalay-Bobrovniczky on Facebook as Netanyahu began a visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
The minister greeted Netanyahu upon arrival at the airport in the Hungarian capital shortly after 02:30 am (0030 GMT) local time.
