The Africa CEO Forum, set for May 16-17, will bring together prominent African heads of state and business leaders to explore vital topics such as digital technology integration, finance and agribusiness sector strengthening, and women and young entrepreneurs' empowerment.

Organizers announced the attendance of Presidents Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique, Mokgweetsi Masisi of Botswana, William Ruto of Kenya, and Ismail Omar Guelleh of Djibouti.

Other confirmed is Sudhir Ruparelia, Chairman of Ruparelia Group, H.E. Wamkele Mene, General Secretary of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), MTN Nigeria’s CEO, Faith Mukutu, CEO Bank of Kigali, Patty Karuaihe-Martin among others.

Amir Ben Yahmed, CEO of Jeune Afrique Media Group, said leadership and governance is critical in transforming journey for Africa.

“Heads of state and business leaders must drive the unified voice needed to tackle challenges and seize opportunities,” he said.

Mary Porter-Peschka, Regional Vice-President for East Africa at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), said they committed a record “$11.5b to diverse sectors across Africa last fiscal year, aiming to accelerate energy transition, foster greener manufacturing, and enhance intra-Africa trade.”

Nelly Mukazaire, deputy chief executive officer at the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), said the dialogue will guide in several policy formations in areas of trade. 

“The dialogues facilitated by the forum are not solely focused on business; they revolve around robust, deliberate policies aimed at advancing trade and investment across our continent,” Mukazaire said.

The Forum will tackle four transformative agendas: leadership, digital transformation, continental integration, and financing.

Through a series of panel discussions, workshops, and roundtables, participants will explore strategies to achieve the highest public policy standards conducive to growth; to ensure African business is at the forefront of disruptive innovation; to leverage Africa’s collective weight through the AfCFTA; and to creatively overcome obstacles to financing Africa’s ambitions. Designed to spur actionable solutions, the summit will accelerate the rise of new African success stories.
