National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporters have gathered at various spots on the Kampala-Gulu highway to cheer and show support to their presidential candidate, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, as he heads to Luwero district today, September 30, 2025.
The incumbent President, who is facing seven other candidates for the country's top seat, is expected to hold his first rally of the three-month-long campaign.
Wearing yellow T-shirts and caps, the supporters have decorated the roadsides with yellow to morale boost their candidate, who is seeking another term for the presidency.

Several of the supporters, who were chanting party slogans at Kagoma and Kawempe in Kampala city, said they want to protect the gains and secure their future, insisting that it is only President Museveni who can secure their future.

The NRM party flag-bearers at different levels in Wakiso and Nansana municipality also mobilised their supporters to show support for their presidential candidate.
