Presidential candidates continued their nationwide vote hunt on Saturday, with the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer and incumbent, President Yoweri Museveni, taking his campaign to Karamoja, where he addressed supporters in Karenga and Kaabong.
National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate Robert Kyagulanyi rallied supporters in Kwania and Kole, while Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) flag bearer Nandala Mafabi rallied voters in Mbale and Manafwa.

President Museveni in Karenga and Kaabong

President Museveni arrives for the campaign rally.

President Museveni arrived in Karenga to a rousing welcome from jubilant supporters as his convoy entered the rally grounds. The field was awash with yellow, a vivid display of strong NRM support for the president.

At the campaign rally, President Museveni said that disarmament ended cattle raids, restored peace and spurred development.

Nandala in Mbale and Manafwa
