President Museveni campaigned in Buvuma and Buikwe.

At his first campaign rally of the day in Buvuma, accompanied by the First Lady Janet Museveni and NRM leaders, he unveiled the 2026–2031 Manifesto. He pledged to end Buvuma’s power shortage through renewable energy and a Mayuge cable, ordered accountability for delays, assured oil palm compensation and factories, and committed to boarding schools to support fishing families.

At a Buikwe rally, President Museveni said the minimum wage will come after lowering production costs, citing efforts to secure peace, expand markets, cut electricity, transport and loan costs, and he ordered clarification of land rights to prevent exploitation.
