 UGANDA DECIDES 2026 

When the Electoral Commission released the first set of provisional results from the 2026 presidential election Thursday night at the National Tally Centre in Lubowa, President Yoweri Museveni of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), the incumbent, was in the lead.

In second was Robert Kyagulanyi of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and Nathan Nandala Mafabi of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) in third.

Others followed in the following order: Mugisha Muntu of Alliance for National Transformation (ANT), Mubarak Munyagwa of Common Man’s Party (CMP),  Frank Kabinga of Revolutionary People’s Party (RPP), Robert Kasibante of National Peasants Party (NPP) and Joseph Mabirizi of Conservative Party (CP).

The Electoral Commission will be releasing more provisional results in the course of Friday.
