Ex-Police chief Kayihura campaigns for Museveni in Kisoro

Former Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura has welcomed President Yoweri Museveni to Kisoro and asked the residents to vote for Museveni and NRM candidates with a big margin.

President Museveni, who is also the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party flag-bearer, on November 24, 2025, started his reelection campaign in Kigezi region with a rally at Saaza playground in Kisoro district.

The president highlighted NRM achievements and the ongoing commitments as outlined in the party’s manifesto.

The development comes days after the incumbent completed campaigning in the regions of Busoga, Teso and Karamoja.

Kayihura highlighted the NRM achievements in the area.



NRM party vice-chairperson for western region, Jonard Asiimw,e promised 90% support to President Museveni in the region.

In his address to the large and enthusiastic crowd, President Museveni presented the seven key contributions for the NRM in the past 40years, such as peace, development, and wealth creation.
