As Uganda’s 2026 presidential campaigns gain momentum, candidates intensified their outreach across the country on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) presidential flag bearer, Gen. (Rtd) Mugisha Muntu, held rallies in Kiboga and Kyankwanzi.

Muntu in Kiboga & Kyankwanzi

ANT's presidential candidate, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Gregory Mugisha Muntu spent the day rallying supporters in Bukomero and Rwamata Town Councils, in Kiboga district and Kyankwanzi. Vision Group journalist Stuart Yiga was on the ground to cover the development.









In Kyankwanzi Town Council, NRM’s Peace Atumwijuka made a passionate appeal to ANT presidential candidate Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Mugisha Muntu, urging him to let President Yoweri Museveni complete another five-year term before seeking leadership himself. The exchange unfolded amid cheers of NRM slogans from the gathered supporters during Muntu’s rally.

Nandala Mafabi in Namayingo & Bugiri

FDC presidential candidate Nandala Mafabi addressed supporters at Sanyanyo Trading Centre in Bukoli, Namayingo District. Vision Group journalist Alfred Ochwo was on the ground to cover the development.




The rally took a notable turn when former NUP member Isaac Wejuli crossed over to the FDC.
