The European Union ambassador in Uganda, Jan Sadek, has lauded the Buganda Kingdom anthem, saying it is one of the best in the world.

While meeting the Ganda Boys based in United Kingdom on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his offices on Hannington Road at Crested Towers in Kampala, Sadek said the anthem has a powerful message and sweet melodies.

“I thank you for promoting the African culture through music. I request, however, that you also promote other items such as Uganda’s coffee,” he said.

To show his love for coffee, Sadek served it to the Ganda Boys.

The Ganda Boys assured the EU envoy that they have started the coffee campaign and that they are involved in coffee production, stressing that they produce Ganda Foundation Coffee.

The Ganda Boys music group was formed in 2008 through an exciting collaboration on the highly acclaimed 2009 BBC-TV drama series.

Daniel Sewagudde and Denis Mugagga, popularly known as the Ganda Boys, were formerly known as The Twins.

From August 7-10, 2023, Uganda hosted 25 African coffee-producing countries. This was the second G-25 Africa Coffee Summit (ACS).

The summit was held at the Speke Resort Munyonyo.

The Ganda Boys have since in partnership with Vision Group launched a campaign to promote the Buganda anthem.
