She Maroons' goal poacher Lillian Kasuubo says that they are going to build on their five-star performance against Asubo Gafford Ladies on match day one to get another three points when they host Wakiso Hills Saturday at Luzira Prison Grounds in the FUFA Women’s Super League.

“We enjoyed a good game against Asubo away from home and I managed to score three goals. That result motivated us so much and today at home in front of our fans, we are looking forward to getting another three points,” Kasuubo stated.

Kasuubo terrorized opposition teams last season in the FUFA Women’s Elite League where she notched 24 goals on their way to securing promotion to the topflight as champions with three games to spare.

The Female wardens are so much transformed under head coach Simon Peter Ocuka who guided them to the FUFA Women’s Cup final only to lose to eventual winners Uganda Martyrs Lubaga by a goal to nil.

Ocuka targets finishing fourth this season in the league and looking at the good start his side enjoyed against Gafford Ladies, he remains confident.

“I am happy with the performance my players put up in that game, I expect more or the same today against Wakiso Hills. Our target remains to finish fourth and I have trust in these players to achieve it,” Ocuka said.

On the other hand, Wakiso Hills are searching for their first win of the campaign after suffering a 1-0 defeat at home to Makerere University.

Elsewhere, Uganda Martyrs is hosting Rines SS at St Gerald grounds.

The league continues tomorrow with champions Kampala Queens visiting Makerere University at the Graveyard grounds, Asubo Gafford Ladies will entertain Lady Doves while Kawempe and UCU Lady Cardinals will also face off at the Valley grounds in Kawempe.
