Women's Football Symposium 2023 set for November 29

The third FUFA vice president Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi who is the head of the organising committee told journalists that the day's event and the first of its kind to thank everyone who has been in the history of women's football will see many stakeholders come together on November 29 at Sheraton Hotel.

The women's football fraternity in Uganda will host a ‘Women in Football Bonanza 2023’ that will include among other things a national symposium to celebrate the path of the game in the last two decades. 

The third FUFA vice president Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi who is the head of the organising committee told journalists that the day's event and the first of its kind to thank everyone who has been in the history of women's football will see many stakeholders come together on November 29 at Sheraton Hotel. 

“We will have government officials, FUFA executive committee, coaches, referees, players (former and current), regulators, sponsors, partners, media, fans, club owners, delegates, secretariat staff and marketing, among others,” Nakiwala noted. 

Former women's football professional player, Jean Sseninde who is an administrator at FUFA has said that the symposium will have over 10 facilitators to enlighten the women on their role in football, women's football health, the economic potential in football, opportunities of women in administration and other.

In addition to entertainment, several people will be walking away with awards.
