Vision Group captain Julius Kafuluma has vowed to return stronger after his team fell 3–0 to MAAD McCANN in the final of the MultiChoice New Football Season-NFL Tournament, held Sunday at Equinox Sports Centre.

The six-a-side tournament, dubbed “It’s On. Season Ewoome”, marked the launch of the 2025/26 football season, bringing together media personalities, staff, and key stakeholders for a day of sport, celebration, and connection.

The event also spotlighted MultiChoice’s broadcast plans for the world’s biggest leagues on DStv and GOtv.

Vision Group entered the tournament as defending champions and early favorites, having dominated the group stages and semifinals with emphatic wins—15–1 against MCU Team and 6–0 against Installers Team.

But in the final, they were stunned by a clinical MAAD McCANN side, leaving fans wondering what went wrong.

“We used a lot of energy to reach the final, and that took a toll on our players,” Kafuluma explained. “Next season, we’ll come back with a deeper squad and better rotation to match the competition.”
