Vipers defeated Arua Hill 2-0 at St Mary's Stadium in Kitende to move top of the Uganda Premier League. The result saw Venoms maintain their winning start in the game and they unveiled their new player Allan Okello to the fans.
Their coach Leonard Neiva was impressed with the performance of his players but has demanded more.
“This was a good performance from the lads. We also managed to win the game and we scored two goals in the first half. But we should focus on winning more games in the league,” noted Neiva.
Defender Livingstone Mulondo and forward Abubakar Lawal scored for the Vipers as they moved to six points.
However, this was their second consecutive defeat as they lost 1-0 to Busoga United at home in their opening game last week.
Arua Hill assistant coach Ahmed Borini was impressed with the performance of his team but cautioned that a lot needs to be done.
“We did not win but my players played to our instructions. We shall try to improve some of the areas as a team,” noted
The league resumes on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with several games.
