Top amateur and professional female golfers from across the country and region, along with male participants and caddies, are gearing up for the UGC Ladies Open, scheduled for August 11-16.

This year's event will feature a wider range of competitive categories, including Ladies Silver (gross amateur ladies), Ladies Bronze, Men’s Gross, Professional Golfers, a Subsidiary Tournament, and a Caddies Tournament. This makes it a truly inclusive celebration of the sport.

This year’s tournament seeks to promote women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, wellness, and networking through golf, while providing an excellent platform to connect with a premium audience in a relaxed and impactful environment.

The tournament's main event will be the Ladies Silver (gross amateur ladies) category, but it is the Caddies tournament that gets the event underway on Monday. The professionals who have a sh10m kitty to fight for will then take to the course on August 12-13 before the men’s gross amateur event on August 13-15 and before the other clusters and the subsidiary event on August 16.

The UGC Ladies Open 2025 is made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors: Equity Bank, King Ceasor University, Kenya Airways, Fresh Dairy, Wandaz Products Ltd, Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Pepsi, Johnnie Walker, DT Logistics, Ekspresso, PGM, Windsor Golf Club, Chandaria Group, Green Leaf Motors, Uganda Ladies Golf Union, Civil Aviation Authority, and Medisell Uganda.

“Their contributions will enable us to provide a world-class experience for all participants and attendees.” The UGC Ladies Open is intentionally scheduled right before the Uganda Open Golf Championship to give the ladies and golfers coming from outside of Uganda a chance to participate in two ladies opens. This year we have included all categories so that everyone has a chance to experience the conditions in Uganda.” Gloria Mbaguta, the UGC Lady Captain, said.
